Nexford University has entered into a pivotal Articulation Agreement with UPI Study, effective from April 24, 2026, to create a streamlined transfer credit system for students pursuing undergraduate degrees at Nexford. This agreement facilitates the evaluation of UPI Study’s courses, which have ACE and NCCRS credit recommendations, allowing them to count towards Nexford’s undergraduate programs. Students can choose from nearly 70 courses that align with Nexford’s offerings in fields such as business, computer science, AI, math, science, and social sciences. These courses are available to complete fully online, providing flexibility for learners to finish them either before or during their enrollment at Nexford.

This initiative primarily aims to benefit working adults, career changers, and busy learners by offering a more efficient path to obtaining a degree. Instead of starting from scratch, students can enter Nexford with pre-acquired credits, thus decreasing both their time to graduation and overall educational expenses. Dr. Ann Larson, the Chief Academic Officer at Nexford University, emphasized that the program is designed to accommodate the existing lifestyles of students, stating, “This partnership with UPI Study gives learners a credible, recognized way to build toward their degree before they ever enroll. That’s the kind of access we were built to create.”

UPI Study provides affordable college-level courses, starting at $89 per month, which is a notable cost-effective alternative to the standard $300 to $600 per credit hour at traditional community colleges. Students have the opportunity to complete these self-paced courses, receive an official transcript, and have their credits evaluated by Nexford, making the transfer process straightforward and accessible. A comprehensive guide to course equivalencies, based on Appendix 1 of the agreement, is available online at UPI Study’s website.

Nexford University, based in Washington, DC, is a forward-thinking institution that prioritizes career outcomes and modern educational practices, integrating AI as a strategic skill in its curriculum. It offers programs that cater to the needs of working adults, providing flexible, real-world project-based learning. Meanwhile, UPI Study is known for its extensive range of ACE and NCCRS-recommended courses, which are accepted by over 2,100 universities, all available fully online without the need for physical attendance.
