According to French Ambassador Patrick Maisonnave, the ties between the two nations have seen significant growth, with collaboration extending to various sectors that align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
The evolving partnership now spans areas such as culture, tourism, artificial intelligence, technology, energy, healthcare, defense, education, and urban development. The AlUla development project stands out as a prominent example of their cooperation, while new ventures in digital innovation, entertainment, and esports underscore the expanding relationship between the two countries.
On the regional front, France and Saudi Arabia maintain close coordination on several critical issues. These include Gulf security, ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, the pursuit of a two-state solution, maintaining Lebanon’s stability, and the reconstruction of Syria.
