Anthropic has successfully raised $30 billion in new funding that propels its valuation to $380 billion, positioning it among the most valuable private companies globally. The AI company’s exceptional valuation growth from $183 billion just months earlier demonstrates the rapid pace of AI advancement and expanding enterprise adoption.

GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, partnered with Coatue Management to lead the massive investment round, with institutional investors demonstrating strong conviction in Anthropic’s enterprise AI leadership. The funding provides substantial capital for continued technology development, infrastructure expansion, and global market penetration.

The company’s revenue performance has been extraordinary, reaching an annualized rate of $14 billion after growing more than 1,000% year-over-year for three consecutive years. Claude Code, Anthropic’s AI coding assistant that achieved general availability in May 2025, has been instrumental in this expansion, gaining rapid developer adoption and capturing significant market share.

Anthropic has charted an ambitious path to profitability, with forecasts indicating cash burn will decline to approximately one-third of revenue in 2026 and just 9% by 2027. The company’s 2028 break-even goal could position it two years ahead of primary competitors in achieving sustainable operations, providing strategic flexibility as companies prepare for public market debuts expected in late 2026.

Founded by Dario and Daniela Amodei in 2021 following their departures from OpenAI leadership roles, Anthropic has carved out a distinctive market position emphasizing AI safety and ethical development. The company’s recent Super Bowl advertising campaign highlighted its ad-free product approach, creating meaningful differentiation from competitors who have introduced advertising, while building on substantial strategic partnerships with Amazon and Google.
