Spider-Man: Brand New Day has entered the record books in the most spectacular fashion, with its trailer crossing one billion views — a first in Hollywood history. The trailer, released by Sony Pictures on March 17, reached this extraordinary landmark in only four days. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker has never been more anticipated, and the numbers confirm it unequivocally.

The trailer’s 24-hour performance of 718.6 million views surpassed a wave of previous records held by major entertainment properties. Deadpool & Wolverine’s February 2024 Super Bowl teaser had accumulated 365 million views in its first day, while Spider-Man: No Way Home’s trailer had earned 355.5 million. Even the record-breaking Grand Theft Auto VI announcement, at 475 million first-day views, was left in Brand New Day’s wake.

WaveMetrix reported the cumulative total had hit 1.1 billion by Tuesday, solidifying the record. It marks a new era in how audiences engage with cinematic announcements. Brand New Day’s trailer is the single most-watched promotional clip in entertainment history.

Opening July 31, the film follows Peter Parker as he navigates an invisible existence in the aftermath of the memory-wiping spell from No Way Home. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, and Michael Mando, it is part of MCU Phase Six. Indian fans will see the film in six languages in all premium formats.

The trailer’s honest portrayal of Peter’s loneliness and resilience struck a powerful chord with fans globally. Social media exploded with reactions, memes, and fan theories about the film’s plot. As the follow-up to the $1.9 billion-grossing No Way Home, Brand New Day carries enormous expectations — and it’s already delivering on them.
